Shear, Brian

Brian Shear is a South African artist. A renowned painter of landscapes, wild life, seascapes and nudes. The scope of his work encompasses abstracts, portraits, township life and wildlife. He is well versed with a broad variety of painting media. He studied at the Michaelis Art School inCape Town under he tutelage of Lippy Lipchitz, Rupert Shepherd and Maurice van Essche. He participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. His appeal is broad and over the years many prominent collectors purchased his works.
